Pagsusumikap para sa mga Estudyante: Isang Ulat mula sa PLP at Pasig City Scholars
Day 11 of 45. Ang dami kong nakasalubong na taga-PLP at pati na rin mga Pasig City Scholars kanina! Inform ko lang kayo, nagsulat na ako sa Comelec– sana mapagbigyan ang request natin para sa EXEMPTION sa election ban para sa mga Allowances ninyo. 🙏 Maiksing report lang din. From 2019-2022, we have, for PLP students: ✅ Started implementing free tuition under UNIFAST (which was authored by Cong Roman and passed in 2016); ✅ Distributed devices to all students for distance learning; ✅ Launched the Connectivity Allowance of 500/month/student. For our Pasig City Scholars: ✅ Increased the number of scholars, even with the pandemic, from 12,000 to 20,000. We will increase further every year. (Basta pasok sa income bracket, ranking system ito base sa grades para maiwasan ang palakasan. Kung may dalawang estudyante na nangangailangan, siyempre ibibigay ang slot sa mas mataas ang grades. Pero meron din tayong non-academic, sports at arts & design scholars.); ✅ Relaxed and streamlined requirements (including the removal of the "points system"); ✅ Changed the name to the "Pasig City Scholarship Program"– goodbye patronage politics. Gaya ng sabi natin dati: "Laging tandaan na wala kayong utang na loob kahit kanino (lalo na sa politiko) dahil pera ito ng taumbayan.
