The truth is, communities have existed in Pasig for hundreds of years even before the Spanish times (for example, Dayang Kalangitan ruled in the 1400s with her seat of power at Bitukang Manok) . July 2, 1573 is the traditional date where we celebrate the founding of the town proper or poblacion as we know it (where it is) today. But this year we will also recognize and celebrate other important dates and milestones of our beloved city.
